Ted Hebert's "shotgun" approach to breeding resulted in some ot the most interesting genes to surface in his flock of feather birds.

Colors never seen before, like champagne, were the result of throwing as many gene types together in a barnyard blender. Recreating them is the trick. Unfortunatly, most do not breed true.

These one-of-a-kind colors are the "Variants". And as you'll see here, many are indescribabley beautiful - others are quite possibley the most hiddious things you'll ever see...
